Caleb's graduation

Caleb graduated from preschool. It was a fun night and he is so pumped to start kindergarten. He has come such a long way and has learned so much. I love the way the Lord made him, so nurturing and such a big heart. He has turned out to be so very helpful to me and such a wonderful big brother to Addyson. The have a sweet relationship and I hope it never changes. I thank the Lord for him and how he is made. I pray that his sweet qualities don't change as he ventures off into kindergarten.

Mother's day

It was a great Mother's Day this year. We went to church in the morning and it was a great service about.....mothering. I walked out feeling a little guilty but encouraged. Being a mom is sometimes very hard but it sure is so easy to love my kids. And this mothers day was especially special because I am pregnant with a precious little boy that I am so excited to meet. The kids painted my belly with face paint for mothers day and they had a blast (although, I think it was more fun for me). Danny did a great job pampering me and taking food and bath responsibility which was WONDERUL. I love this stage of life. My children are precious to me and I thank God for them everyday. It is sometimes so easy to get caught up in the busy times and the disciplining do's and don'ts but lately I have been trying to focus on how God made created these lives and gave me the responsibilty to raise them. He picked their lives for my life and He makes everything perfect.

Danny lost his first tooth!!

Danny lost his first tooth this Wednesday morning eating waffles at the breakfast table. Thank goodness I did not have to pull it. He was thrilled beyond belief. I fully anticipated a fainting episode since their was blood but we stayed up right!! : ) He did get a little woozy and did not want to look at his tooth after it fell out though. It was an exciting day. I had ordered a tooth fairy pillow and a special tooth fairy book for the special occasion and we have been waiting to read the book until his tooth came out. The tooth fairy brough some money and it was a great time. Now he is wiggling all his teeth trying to lose more.

Little Gym and Addy

Addyson has found her new passion in life. She ditched dancing for the Little Gym. She is completely influenced by commercials and I am convinced that this is the reason for the new love of the Little Gym. She was not participating in dance class anymore (I guess ballet is not her thing). I had high hopes for her since she IS my only girl. Maybe in a couple of years she will like dance and if not then I will be thrilled at watching her play softball. But currently she is loving Little Gym.

Field day

Danny had his first field day today. It was alot of fun. All the kids had a great time and it was great to spend some time outdoors in the beautiful weather watching all the Kindergarten classes compete against eachother. Danny had a blast as did Addyson and Caleb. Danny's class was the Basinger Buccaneers. The won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all competitions (but who is keeping track!).

Caleb is 5!

I can't believe 5 years have passed since I saw Calebs face for the first time. He was born so sick and that was such a scary time for me. He was in the hospital for 3.5 weeks before he could come home. It felt like eternity and he looked so sick. I feel blessed that he made it through that time and is a helathy little 5 year old boy today. We celebrated with a couple of friends at build a bear. It was a small party but lots of fun. He had a great time and it was fun celcbrating with family and watching him enjoy his special day.

Addyson and the nuclear dye

Well, first I want to say thanks to everyone who prayed for Addy yesterday as we went through all the nuclear testing. It was a scary day for her but I could tell she was comforted and she was soo brave, I was so proud of her. They put the skin numbing cream on her in 2 different spots so she would not feel the IV. Unforetunetly, they didn't even attempt to stick the IV where the numbing cream had been so she felt everything. She did good though, considering everything. When she went into the scan room several hours later she laid so still while they performed the scan. She was a little scared because it was a huge machine that resembled a CAT scan. She did not care for them moving the table into the very large (and rather intimidating) machine. I'll cut right down to the point. The wonderful news is she does NOT have any scarring on her kidney. AMEN! The bad news is the doc found that the kidney that has the reflux has an anomally. (This is about to get real anatomically technical)...Addy has 2 tubes (or ureters for those who have taken Anatomy) that go from her bladder to her kidney. The norm is to only have 1 tube. So, with this new finding of this crazy kidney she will have to have the surgery to correct the reflux. So, everyone please get on your knees now and start praying! I am nervous about this operation and it will be here soon. She is scheduled for February 18, 2 weeks from today. I know my precious baby is a child of God and she is in His hands. I take comfort that He will be by her side while I can't be during the surgery. Everyone who knows me, knows that I am somewhat of a neurotic mommy but I realize with this situation that it lies in the hands of our Heavenly Father and I trust that He will see her through this. I thank everyone in advance for the prayers and will be anxious to update my blg on February 19 and say that everything went perfect and she will now be free from UTI's.
